Class C motorhomes are built to venture into nature. Many adventures await... as does dirt, dust, and grime. As you use your RV, it'll get dirty. Fortunately, cleaning is a breeze. Cleaning the Roof

As you use your RV, your roof becomes a magnet for debris. As you drive, it collects. As you sit parked at a campsite, it collects. A dirty roof is inevitable. But the roof is more than just an eyesore. It traps moisture and creates a breeding ground for mold and mildew to eat away at your Class C motorhome. You need to regularly remove this gunk.

You'll need some assistance to clean the roof. Get someone to hold the ladder steady so you can climb up to the top. Make sure to wear shoes with a good grip as the roof's surface will be wet and slippery.

A brush with a telescoping handle is your best tool to use. It'll give you the force you need to scrub away the grime. You can use a mild detergent like dish soap. As you clean, make sure to rinse soap away. Otherwise, it'll dry on the roof. Once you clean the roof, give it a final rinse. You can either let the moisture air dry or squeegee it off. It's up to you.

Pressure Washing an RV

It takes time to clean Class C Motorhomes. They are large RVs with a lot of surface area to clean! You can speed up the process by using a pressure washer. The high-pressure stream of water puts force on that caked-on debris, which is much easier than scrubbing with a hand brush. If you don't want to buy a pressure washer, you can rent one.

It's important to note, though, that pressure washers can damage decals and paint. Avoid keeping the harsh spray on one spot too long or overwashing your RV. Adopt a broad sweeping motion around two feet back. This will let you get the clean you need without damaging your Class C motorhome.

Cleaning the Sides of Class C Motorhomes

Class C motorhomes collect dust, pollen, mud, bugs, and more. After all, you are driving your RV to the wilderness. Things get dirty! It's important to clean the sides of your RV. otherwise, the grime can start to damage your Class C motorhome.

If you have a pressure washer, you can use it on the sides of your RV. If not, a telescoping brush will get the job done. Use a soap that won't harm the metal, enamel or fiberglass.

You'll want to begin at the top and work your way down. Aim for cleaning in two feet wide chunks. This will let you wash away the soap before it starts to dry. After you finish, give your RV a good rinse.

Detailing Your Class C Motorhome

Once you clean your RV, your final step is to detail it. A window cleaning solution tackles streaks or fingerprints on your windows. Certain materials (like aluminum, chrome, enamel, and steel) require tailored cleaners to avoid damage. A sealant conditioner plugs up leaks that would otherwise let out your air-conditioning and heating. Apply lubricant to hinges to prevent squeaking. Add tire shine to make your tires shimmer. Proper detailing helps Class C motorhomes shine.
